Why is our Children's Allergy Center special?

Accurate diagnosis of allergic and concomitant diseases in children

  • Performing provocative tests in cases where it is difficult to determine whether the disease is allergic. In particular, we have extensive experience in conducting food provocation tests for gastrointestinal and allergic allergies. This test is carried out in a hospital for an hour under the supervision of an allergist, pediatrician and anesthesiologist.
  • Performing prick-to-prick skin tests. These prick tests are not with extracts, but with whole foods - milk, eggs, flour, fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood and fish. "Prik-tu-prick" is a more modern and informative study than the usual "prick-test", since the extract does not contain all the molecules of the product that can cause allergies. Thus, using the "prick test", you can get a false negative result.
  • Diagnosis of "cross" allergy - when a child has an allergic reaction to several allergens (for example, birch pollen and apples are "cross" allergens).
  • Early diagnosis of congenital and acquired conditions that can mask allergic diseases (genodermatosis, reflux disease, epilepsy, and others). For example, an epileptic seizure can be similar to an asthma attack. Reflux disease sometimes manifests itself as a cough, which can also be an allergy.
  • If necessary, joint consultations of an allergist with other specialists - a dermatologist, gastroenterologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, cardiologist, etc.
  • Appointment of component diagnostics (blood test for a large list of allergens) only when it is really needed.

Vaccination of children with allergic diseases or allergic reactions in history

  • Examination before vaccination, predicting the risks of complications of vaccination;
  • Drawing up an individual vaccination schedule for a child with an allergic history;
  • Observation for two hours in the hospital in order to prevent post-vaccination complications.

Treatment with allergen specific immunotherapy (ASIT):

  • ASIT for patients with allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, allergic asthma;
  • A unique area of our work is oral immunotherapy with food.
