Education and experience

She graduated from Donetsk National Medical University with honors. Fellow of "Zavtra.ua", the Best Young Scientist of DNMU in 2018. MITACS Canadian Research Fellow: Internship for three months at the University of Montreal in Canada (Université deMontréal, Montréal).

Worked for 4 years as a laboratory assistant in the Department of General and Biological Chemistry at Donetsk National Medical University.

The best training

She gained the best experience during her internship in Canada, where she decided on her future specialty. When I came to the laboratory, from the first day absolutely every member of the team, led by the professor, taught me everything I needed to work. Two days after the start of the internship, I performed my first operation on my own. For a week - independently engaged in his experiment from the beginning (selection of rats) to the end (creation of histological specimens, their analysis and description of results). It was then that I was fascinated by the moment of anesthesia, and how the anesthetic affects the body of a living being and the course of the operation, the postoperative period. These three months have taught me many things, especially what kind of mentor I ever want to be.

Why medicine?

In medicine, I am most interested in the possibility of relieving patients of pain and intensive care of emergencies. As banal as it may sound, I try to help people as much as I can. When the question arose last year whether to continue my studies in Canada for a master's degree, I had no doubt that I would decline this offer. I chose medicine precisely because of the opportunity to work with patients and improve their lives. My dream is to one day say "Trust me, I'm your doctor".
