Education
Dr. Karavanov continues the medical dynasty of the Karavanovs and Petrovskys in the third generation. In 1996 he graduated from the National Medical University (Ukraine, Kyiv) with honors. The internship was held at the Department of Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery of the National Medical University (Head of the Department of Prof. Kharkiv LV) on the basis of DCL №7 Kyiv in 1996-97, certificate of specialist №1179.
In 1999 he passed an internship in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Jagiellonian University, Krakow (Head of the Department Prof. Barkowsky).
Dr. Karavanov regularly participates in numerous international conferences, congresses and workshops in Ukraine and abroad, gives lectures and reports on the problems of plastic and reconstructive-aesthetic interventions on the face. Among the recent speeches was the presentation of Ukraine with reports at the 9th, 10th, 12th (2015, 2016, 2018) Congress of the International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation (ICPF) on the problems of surgical treatment of congenital clefts of the upper lip and palate.

- From 1997 to 2017 - resident doctor of the Department of Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery DKB №7.
- From 2002 to 2015 - maxillofacial, plastic surgeon of the Clinic "Visit-Cosmetic".
- Since 2015 - maxillofacial surgeon of the Department of Minimally Invasive and Reconstructive Surgery of the Alexander Clinical Hospital in Kyiv.
- Since 2018 - maxillofacial surgeon of the Department of Congenital Malformation Surgery of the Research Institute of PAG.

- Plastic surgery: rhinoseptoplasty, blepharoplasty, otoplasty, lip correction, scar correction, lipomodeling, installation of facial implants;
- Surgical treatment of various congenital malformations of the face, in particular, clefts (nonunion) of the upper lip and palate: primary plastic surgery, elimination of defects and deformations after unsuccessful operations, bone grafting of the maxillary clefts with auto / xeno bone transplantation, speech reconstruction operations, etc .;
- Surgical treatment of traumatic soft tissue injuries and facial skull bones, as well as post-traumatic defects and deformities;
- Surgical treatment of some benign neoplasms of soft tissues and bones of the facial skull;
- Non-surgical methods of correction (injections of fillers and botulinum toxin preparations) ).
