Morphological diagnosis of Barrett's esophagus

The article presents endoscopic and morphological manifestations of Barrett's esophagus. The morphological types of epithelial metaplasia in Barrett's esophagus are presented - cardiac, fundal and specialized intestinal metaplasia with a potential risk of malignancy. The basic methods of management of patients with Barrett's esophagus are considered.
