  • we have a multidisciplinary team (doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists), which is a requirement for the organization of such departments in Europe and the key to effective treatment of patients;
  • the Head of the Stroke Center, Honored Doctor of Ukraine Yurii Flomin is considered to be one of the best specialists in stroke in Ukraine;
  • physical therapists and speech therapists from the first days are involved in the treatment of each patient of the Stroke Center, which makes it possible to simultaneously carry out both diagnostics and treatment, and rehabilitation;
  • the nurses of the Stroke Center have appropriate skills in caring for patients after a stroke (careful monitoring of the condition, skin and oral care, prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, feeding, moving, bathing the patient, etc.);
  • a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists works, which, according to many experts, is the best among hospitals in Ukraine and the region;
  • to ensure the safety of patients, a fall prevention protocol has been introduced, which ensures the lowest risk of injury from a fall;

Modern effective rehabilitation
  • our specialists use only eidance-based methods that have proven effectiveness and are used in the best European stroke departments and rehabilitation centers;
  • members of the rehabilitation team work with each patient a lot (on average, from three hours a day);
  • patients of the Stroke Center get out of bed (move into a trolley or chair or stand on their feet) as early and as often as possible, which avoids many complications associated with prolonged lying and accelerates the rehabilitation process;
  • during the first days of the patient's stay at the Stroke Center, a meeting takes place with the patient's family or representative to discuss his condition and agree on the goals of rehabilitation;
  • physical therapists of the Stroke Center carry out the selection of individual aids: orthoses, sticks, carts, beds, etc .;
  • before the patient is discharged from the Stroke Center, his relatives or representative are given recommendations for further rehabilitation, if necessary, advice is given on the arrangement of housing and additional equipment at home, and nurses are trained to help the patient after discharge from the hospital.

  • there is a powerful diagnostic department (MRI, MSCT, ultrasound, endoscopy, EEG, etc.), which allows examining the patients of the Stroke Center at the European level;
  • a modern laboratory operates around the clock, which can do almost all research and fully meets the needs of patients of the Stroke Center for analyzes;
  • highly qualified doctors of many specialties work who can help in the treatment of patients of the Stroke Center (cardiologist, endocrinologist, neurosurgeon, urologist, surgeon, psychiatrist, endoscopist, ENT, proctologist, infectious disease specialist, etc.);
  • the operating room and the intensive care unit (resuscitation) are equipped with the most modern equipment with constant monitoring of all body functions, an intelligent control system;
  • an anesthesiologist is on duty around the clock, which allows you to provide emergency care.
Convenience and comfort
  • Clinic "Oberig" has its own emergency medical service, which can transport a patient to the Stroke Center from anywhere in Ukraine, as well as, if necessary, take the patient home from the clinic after treatment;
  • patients are accommodated in 1 or 2-bed wards with modern functional beds with anti-decubitus mattresses, shower and toilet;
  • the wards have electric lifts that allow you to safely move patients with mobility limitations from bed to wheelchair or chair and back to bed without any extra effort;
  • the wards are equipped with special tables, at which patients can eat and do their homework;
  • fresh diet food is prepared in the clinic canteen and delivered to patients three times a day directly to the ward;
  • the patient's family does not have to buy medicines and care items on their own from pharmacies - this is done by the clinic's procurement service.

Stroke center Why Stroke center?

We treat and rehabilitate patients from the first days after stroke, basing on treatment guideline from the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association. The multidisciplinary team of the Center includes neurologists, physical therapists, speech therapists, neuropsychologists, nutritionists, occupational therapists, massage therapists, and physiotherapists. The stroke center is built on the principle of Comprehensive Stroke Unit.
