In the department of endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery of the medical center "Universal Clinic" Oberig "in the period from May 2008 to May 2014 were found 43 (0.9%) submucosal formations of the esophagus, including lipomas - in two 4.7%) cases. In both cases, the lipomas were removed endoscopically. In one case, a tumor of the proximal part of the esophagus with a size of 0.7 cm performed endoscopic resection using a distal cap. An 31-year-old patient with complaints of difficulty swallowing liquid and solid foods for 3 years under endoscopic examination revealed a submucosal formation in the distal part of the esophagus, which almost completely covers its lumen. Under endotracheal anesthesia performed ETPD formation. The patient's swallowing function is restored immediately after waking up from anesthesia.
