Causes of bleeding from the lower intestinal tract can be diverticula, diverticulitis, angiodysplasia of the mucous membrane, benign or malignant tumors of epithelial or non-epithelial nature, nonspecific ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, hemorrhoids, anal fissures. The best diagnostic tests are methods of endoscopic diagnosis: rectoscopy, rectosigmoscopy, colonoscopy. Endoscopic methods allow not only to determine the cause of bleeding, but to perform temporary or permanent cessation of bleeding. Submucosal injections, thermoprobes, argon plasma ablation, endoscopic clipping are used for this purpose.
