About the doctor

I, Evgeniy Vasilievich Negrya, am an endoscopist with 18 years of experience.

As a child from a “medical family” - my mother is an endocrinologist - I chose the profession of a doctor as a teenager. He received his higher medical education at Uzhgorod State University (1992–1998), and completed an internship in surgery at the Uzhgorod Regional Clinical Hospital (1998–2000). The first place of work was the position of a surgeon at the Chop Nodal Hospital, but almost a year after starting work as a surgeon I wanted to grow and improve, so I entered clinical residency at the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Dentistry of the National Medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets on the basis of the Kiev Emergency Hospital medical care (2001–2003).

Among my professional experience, I work as a laboratory assistant at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, National Medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets and a surgeon at the emergency hospital, a surgeon at the family-type clinic "Rusanovka" (Kiev), a surgeon at the Irpen district hospital, an endoscopist at the Kiev regional oncology clinic.

While working as a surgeon, I was looking not only for opportunities for myself as a surgeon to improve my skills, but also was interested in technologies that could provide better patient treatment results using minimally invasive and endoscopic approaches. Fortunately, since the early 2000s, technological and software equipment in the field of endoscopy began to develop rapidly, and my desire grew into a passion for endoscopic surgery. Since 2005, I began working at the Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital as an endoscopist in the endoscopy department and part-time as a surgeon in the surgical department.

I was lucky that on my medical path I met such teachers and mentors as Zhuravsky Viktor Kazimirovich, Yakovenko Vladislav Aleksandrovich, Nastashenko Igor Leonidovich - without them it is difficult to imagine modern Ukrainian endoscopic surgery.

Interest in the development of domestic endoscopy and the widespread introduction of minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques was noticed in the professional community, and in 2015 I received an offer to head the endoscopic diagnostics department of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 8. Over the 7 years of managing the departments, they managed to do a lot - from resolving issues with equipping the department with endoscopic equipment, motivating young doctors to master a new medical profession, to the widespread use of endoscopic operations for various pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract.

The beginning of 2022 was marked for me by the transition to my main place of work as an endoscopist at the Obereg clinic, where I worked part-time from 2008 to 2015. But the beginning of a full-scale invasion dramatically changed plans - from March 2022 to June 2023, he fulfilled his civic duty in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a doctor in the evacuation department. Returning from the front, he continued working as an endoscopist at the Center for Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Obereg clinic. For me, it is an honor to be part of the large medical family of the Oberig clinic, which has all the conditions to provide Ukrainians with high-quality medical care at the level of world standards, and sometimes even exceed them.
