The publication "Pain Medicine Journal" published a scientific article by neurologist Anastasia Gonchar on whether there is a specific link between COVID-19 and headache, and whether the headache in coronavirus has any features.
Headache is a common symptom in patients with COVID-19 and usually has the same characteristics, as in other acute viral diseases. Recent data suggest that some people with certain risk factors have a higher frequency and intensity of headaches. COVID-19 is likely to cause damage to the nervous system, but the frequency of these complications has not been established and, according to preliminary data, is relatively low among other infectious causes.
