For an accurate diagnosis, the gastroenterologist has:

• computed tomography of the abdominal organs (including "virtual colonoscopy", MSCT-onco screening);
• state-of-the-art ultrasound diagnostics (including Shear Wave elastography to assess the structure of the liver);
• targeted liver biopsy under ultrasound and CT control;
• ultrasound dopplerography of the vessels of the abdominal cavity;
• endoscopic studies of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, ileocolonosigmofibroscopy);
• capsule endoscopy;
• polymerase chain reaction to determine the level of viremia and the genotype of hepatitis A, B, C, D and TTV viruses, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr, herpes, human papillomavirus;
• an expanded range of immunological, biochemical, hormonal studies of blood, urine, feces and other physiological media;
• morphological examination of biopsies of the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines obtained during endoscopic studies and determination of the degree of contamination of the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum by Helicobacter pylori;
• Fibromax - non-invasive liver biopsy in combination with elastography;
• coprogram and study of pathological intestinal microflora with determination of sensitivity to bacteriophages + antibioticogram.
