Mammography: preparation

Mammography is performed on women in the period from 5 to 10 days of the menstrual cycle; women in menopause, with no period or irregular cycle – on any given day. Prepare mammography  is not needed. You must bring previous mammograms, breast ultrasound data (if any); women under 40 years of age – the direction of a physician.

WARNING! DO NOT use antiperspirants on the day of the study; if antiperspirants are long-acting (48-72 hours), then it is necessary to wash them off before mammography, because some components of antiperspirants could cause artifacts in the results of the examination.
